At one time, J.B. Darby, buried in Section D in 1901, was thought to be a veteran. Based on the name John Darby listed on the Soldiers & Sailors Monument in Cleveland, Ohio.

Per the Executive Director of the monument, the veteran listed on the monument is John E. Darby, who died in 1918.
